Therapy Services

Compassionate, evidence-based therapy tailored to the needs, strengths, and goals of children, teens, adults, and families.

Therapy Tailored to You

People come to therapy for many reasons. You may be navigating anxiety or depression, recovering from difficult experiences, struggling with relationships, supporting a child or teen, adjusting to change, or simply recognizing that something in your life isn't working the way you'd like.

At Stonewater Therapy, treatment begins with understanding you—your experiences, strengths, challenges, relationships, and goals. Therapy is collaborative and individualized, drawing on evidence-based approaches that are appropriate for your needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

Types of Therapy

Therapy for Children

Children don't always have the words to explain what they're experiencing. Therapy provides developmentally appropriate ways to express emotions, build coping skills, address behavioral concerns, and strengthen relationships.

Therapy for Teens

Adolescence brings emotional, social, academic, and developmental changes. Therapy gives teens a supportive space to understand themselves, navigate challenges, develop coping strategies, and build confidence and resilience.

Therapy for Adults

Therapy helps adults understand patterns contributing to distress, process difficult experiences, navigate relationships and life transitions, and develop practical strategies that support meaningful and lasting change.

Family Support

Therapy helps families and parents navigate behavioral and emotional concerns, improve communication, understand relationship patterns, strengthen connections, and develop strategies that support healthier family relationships.

Areas of Support

Therapy is available for a range of emotional, behavioral, relational, and performance-related concerns. Explore an area below to learn more about how Stonewater Therapy can support you.

An Individualized, Evidence-Based Approach

Effective therapy involves more than selecting a technique. Treatment is informed by your goals, experiences, strengths, developmental needs, relationships, and the concerns bringing you to therapy.

Depending on your needs, treatment may incorporate cognitive, behavioral, relational, somatic, and other evidence-based approaches within a trauma-informed framework. Some clients may benefit from specialized treatments such as EMDR, Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), or Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
